The Libla family began it business ownership legacy in 1973, when David Libla, our father, began manufacturing wooden pallets. Later, as his pallet plant became automated, David needed but could not find a high quality, machine driven pallet nail. As a result of that, he started Mid Continent Nail Corporation in 1987 and worked closely with the Virginia Polytechnic Institute to develop the kind of nail he needed for his own pallet plant. Mid Continent Nail went on to become the largest nail manufacturer in the United States.
David's son, Jeff Libla, joined Mid Continent Nail in 1999; his first job was a machine operator, learning the business "from ground up." In 2003 Jeff became the Production Manager then later the Plant Manager. In 2008 he became the General Manager.
After working in sales in Libla Industries, Inc. (pallet manufacturing) and First national Pallet Rental, Marsha Libla, David's daughter Joined Mid Continent Nail in 1997. She spent her first few years working as an inside sales/customer service rep. Later she eventually worker her way up to Inside Sales/Customer Service Manager in 2002.
When David and Doug sold the company in 2012, Both Jeff and Marsha remained with the new owners for several years. In February, 2017, Jeff and Marsha decided it was time for them to continue the legacy of the Libla family-owned business, hence Legacy Fasteners.
Although Legacy Fasteners in a new company, it is far from a "start-up" business. With Jeff's 25+ years of production experience, and Marsha's 30+ years of sales and customer service experience, Legacy customers can rest assured that they have the best products and customer service available to get the job done right.
